Intermezzo

One evening Najla and I had the following conversation:

Najla: Ma,besok pelajaran Math aku mau membahas tentang 'volume'

Mama: Wow....menarik tuh, kak *sambil buka-buka buku Math*

Mama: *menghela napas*

20 meters

I just saw my 5-year-old girl Zea brought a weight scale. We finally entered a conversation like this:

Mama: Hai Zea, mau ngapain?
Zea:
Aku baru timbang badan aku, mama

Mama:
Ohhh..berapa berat Zea?

Zea:
Ternyata aku sekarang sudah besar, beratku 20...meter

Mama: #speechless#

Ramadhan in the Eyes of Kids

This Ramadhan is special since it is going to be the first time for my 6-year-old daughter, Najla, learning how to do fasting. On the first day, she was fasting until 1.30 pm but on the next day she made it, she could finish until Maghrib, way to go girl.

I thought that it's going to be very hard for her moreover she also needs to go to school. But I guess mommy has too much worries because she is just fine. She enjoys the fasting. In fact everytime she arrives home from school, she looks even more cheerful.

So the conclusion is just let the kids do fasting as long as they want it. No force at all. Last but not least especially for mommies let's leave our worries behind and trust our kids wholehartedly. They can make it. Hakuna matata!!!

This conversation between Najla and Zea (4 yr old) happened yesterday on a critical hour (5 pm):

Zea: Kak, aku tadi ngabisin nata decoco yang ada di kulkas
Najla:
Hah? Kok kamu bilang2 ke aku sih? Aku kan jadi kepingin..

Zea:
Kepingin itu apa sih kak?
*muka lempeng*
Najla: *speechless*

Have a blessed and peaceful Ramadhan, everybody:)

Green Tea Latte

Feeling so sleepy at the office, finally I decided to go down and headed to Starbucks with a friend:

Me : "What do you think of this Green Tea Latte?"
Him: " It tastes exactly like
Teh Cap Kepala Jenggot"

Intermezzo

Najla (4,5 yrs old) asked me the other night:

Najla: "Ma, kenapa burung bisa terbang?"
Me : "Karena burung punya sayap."
Najla: "Trus kenapa BALON bisa terbang????"

Intermezzo #2

I overheard this conversation on Breakfast Club at Kosmopolitan FM couple days a go between the radio anchors, Santi Bonis & Indra Herlambang.

Indra: "Kita liburan bareng, yuk!"
Santi: "Yuk, gue maunya ke gunung"
Indra: "Yah...gue maunya ke pantai"
Santi: "Wah...enaknya gimana ya?"
Indra: "Kita harus cari jalan tengah"
Santi: "So..kita kemana dong?"
Indra: "Paling pas, ya...ke MALL"

Intermezzo #1

My 2nd daughter, Nayzea (2,5 yrs old), currently is crazy about learning alphabets and numbers. She keeps asking about them religiously, anytime, anywhere.

Nayzea: "Ma, ini angka berapa?" (sambil nunjuk huruf F)
Me : "Itu bukan angka, itu huruf"
Nayzea: "Jadi, ini huruf BERAPA?

Kecewa

There's a scream from my little girl, Nayzea (2,5 yrs old) in the dead of the night:

Nayzea: "Mamaaaaaaaaa....."
Me : "Ada apa, Zea?" (with worried tone)
Nayzea: "Mama, ada 'kecewa' di kamar mandi"

Telephone

Just like other working moms, almost everyday my colleague makes a phone call to check her son’s (5 yrs old) condition at home. But, children sometimes have their own plans in their mind and we can not force them to talk to us even we are their mom. This occasion happened several days a go:

My friend : “ Almer mana? Saya mau ngomong sama Almer.”
The nanny : “Almer nggak mau, bu.”
My friend : “Tolong dibujuk, bilang Mama kangen mau ngomong sama Almer.”

Not long after that, Almer picked up the phone.
My Friend : “ Hai Almer, lagi ngapain?”
Almer : “Maaf telepon yang anda tuju sedang sibuk, cobalah beberapa saat lagi.”
My friend : @#$%^&*

Blackberry

A friend who happens to be a newest technology trend follower bought a new blackberry. When it came to use it, he got confused. He asked another friend to help him with his new gadget. This ‘unlucky guy’ spent almost two whole days to give a short course to the gadget man on how to operate and use the sophisticated blackberry.

A couple days a go I met this ‘unlucky guy’ and asked him as follows:
me: “Bagaimana blackberrynya, udah beres?”
him: “Akhirnya beres juga. Dia enak-enak pakai blackberry, gue yang kena beri-beri.”

Papi

Last night I had a fasting break with my two old friends. We had a long chit chat, 'cekikikan' here and there, while trying to finish our big meals. Below is one of the 'ancur' conversation:

Friend #1: "Anak lo manggil lo apa?"
Friend #2: "Papi dong, gue kan indo."
Friend #1: "Puppy kan artinya anak anjing."
Friend #2: @#$%^&*
