Movie Review: Room (2015)

When I was small, I only knew small things. But now I'm five, I know everything.

Novel and movie are two different things. To avoid any disappointment, I stop comparing those two. I make peace upon them and just try to enjoy both. So far I am still amazed with Gone Girl, the book and movie both are excellent.

When I heard that Room, one of the best-selling novels written by Emma Donoghue, would be adapted into screen, I didn't expect much.

But the movie turns out to be awesome. The main characters, Ma and Jack are played beautifully by Brie Larson (Ma) and Jacob Tremblay (Jack). I feel the connection between Room the book and the movie perhaps since the writer, Emma Donoghue, was involved in the movie. Yes, Emma wrote the screenplay.

No wonder that the movie has received many awards and nominations. Brie Larson won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress while Emma Donoghue's screenplay and Jacob Tremblay's performance have also received awards attention. So far Room the movie has received four nominations for the 2016 Academy Awards.
